I grabbed this pic amidst the chaos in Hayday FB Page...

Where do you find Tom the errand boy?
...If you have him, you'll see a weird box near the newspaper post. Click on it, and Tom will run into the screen.
And if you don't have him, well, you don't have the weird box:

Is there any way to hire him to work besides diamonds?

I have him, but I won't hire him in the near future, as I have no diamonds to spend T__T

And from @patcha123, we know that Tom needs to take a nap for 2 hours between his work, lol.
I'd like to know more about what we can order him to do, and how he do that, if @patcha123 would share...

For now, that's all we know about the mysterious little boy.

You pick from any item in barn/silo even if you don't have machine. I clicked on ice cream cones. He goes and searches farms, comes back with 3 different quantities. You pick one and he gets it and brings it back to you. Of course, you have to pay for it. It saved me cuz I had ice cream on my boat order and no machine to make it! Cool feature but after today I'd have to hire him. Can't afford him at this point in the game.

I might have him for 2.5 days too like other person on prev page. Can't remember. I'll let ya know.

From the sounds of it, then, there are a limited number of these errand-boy bots in the system. So we'll see them sporadically.

I click on the boy and he asks what I want him to search for (no cost). He goes out and finds 3 options. For example, shovels. He comes back and say "I found 2 for $$ and 8 for $$ etc....

Then I can pass or buy. If I buy I have to wait for 2 hrs while he rests. Then repeat. No diamonds necessary. You can only pick one of the three.

The errand boy is a chance for the Devs to get back all those Diamonds that was stolen from them during the glitch. LMAO!!!!

Well, I don't know why they are always sideways, but to change it go to photos then select your screenshot, press edit in the upper right corner, press rotate then rotate the screenshot.

Thanks for responding, however I don't seem to have an edit button. I'm a novice but even my electronic savvy brother couldn't figure it out.

There are still some good people in this world. I just got this box of Nails. I left the whole paper to show this is after the update. I also got five diamonds while mining for gold.
