first time question

Recent purchaser of ipad2. The photo booth app is not working properly. The red curtain is stuck in a loop, continually opening (or closing) rendering the app unusable. I've done a full power off but the problem remains.

Suggestions?

Hi Robere...Have you tried to quit the photo booth app? To do this-press the home button twice until you see the multitask bar below. Find the photo booth app and long press until it shakes. Than press the red circle to quit the app. Re-open and try again. Give that a try and see if it helps.

Thanks for getting back to me. I tried your suggestion and then did a full power off, however the problem remains. Any other suggestions?

Hi Robere - welcome to the forum! :)

The suggestion by Skimonkey often works for misbehaving apps; the next step would be to 'Restart' your iPad (which you may have done correctly?); if that is not successful, then a 'Reset' is suggested - look HERE for directions; good luck and please post back if there is still an issue!

Robere-if your ipad is fairly new I would suggest that you contact Apple or go to an Apple shop to see if they can help. You shouldn't have to deal with this so early on.

I have seen this problem before and yes the fix is to have it replaced, make an appointment with Apple Genius bar.
Make sure you do a complete backup first of your pad.
