Is there a way to reply to an email and not have the received email in the body of the reply? Thanks

As far as I can tell, no (I looked in Settings, couldn't find anything). I guess the only way to deal with this is to delete all the stuff you don't want in the e-mail.

If you touch and hold a word in the reply you should get the option to select all.......and cut......it's all gone!

Why not just write a new email and reply that way.

You're going to have to reply to the message and manually remove all previous undesired text from the message. Hope this helps!
