Dragonvale Tips & Tricks! (NO Friend Requests!)

I have a question, and to help me solve it, I think I need your help Fletch!

When I'm visiting, collecting party-hats (which happens way too seldom) I see that the dragons in the habitat I collect a hat from is twirling (is that a word, or did I just made it up??!) around a bit. Have anyone else noticed that? And, out of curiosity, is the dragon moving at the owners too or just for me? And this is where you come in Fletch! Can't you and your wife take a look when you sitting next to eachothers? Please?

I haven't noticed them twirling, but will be on the look out for that now. But I am anal enough to have visited my daughters Islands from my both my wife's account and mine and compare the action on all 3 devices to see if they were the same. They weren't. It seems they just have a record of what type of dragon is in each habitat and they let it go through it's generic movements.

Next party hat collection time I'll check out if the party hats are on the same habitats firstly, then if there's similar twirly action going on. Stay tuned. lol

Hehe, I don't think it's cheaper or faster. Gotta figure in getting to the airport, pay for parking, going through security...I'd drive unless it's at rush hour

There was a picture of it and it's egg on a website that had all the other eggs and dragons on. That's why I thought it might be true. It was pretty, never mind.
Have only been on here since mid January so maybe I just haven't been trying the correct crosses for long enough yet. I'll stick with it. Can't wait to get the other rares.

Oh my lord are you serious? I would check with wiki. Seems they always have them all. That is so not right and soooo cruel! Ugh! Now since I know you seen it I wonder how many other false dragons they have displayed like that and got everyones anxiety at a high level all for nothing.

It really sometimes seems like trial and error. Also it seems sometimes when a combo is hot, it's hot but not for long and almost like they flick a switch and it moves to another combo...just my thoughts. Either way I hope you get them soon! You sure as hell deserve them after playing for so long!

Your welcome and you were totally right! You really made me think for sure. In a lot of ways it's quite brilliant on their part. Of course some will strive to get it now but I don't think that's how it was really designed...like you said it was to fill the time in between which I am thankful to have something to do at this point as I am in between levels and updates and have nothing better to do. :thumbs:

I'm actually glad we can't. As much as I would love to give I think it would take away from the spirit of the game. It's supposed to be hard. I b!tch and moan when for the life of me I can't get what I want, but I wouldn't like it any other way.

Well, ok, yeah - but, if it were time-delimited (one trade a week, say) and costly perhaps, in either gems or coins, to keep people from doing it constantly - it still could be fun, no?

Someone else mentioned the ability to chat within the game - that would be great too

Sometimes party hats appear on empty habitats.

Vicky you can have up to 11 very large treat farm. This means you could, theoretically grow Simultaneously 11 times 5 mil treats. Did that ever happened to you?. Well i have not been in that position. Thus i feel that 2 - 3 very large ones are sufficient for me.

Yeah, the goal to upgrade 6 of them to huge is a bit of cheat in that respect.

I'm saving for a 5th island but since I play on an iPhone not sure I really want to, since it's already hard to see the 4. Any thoughts from those that play on iPhones with the 5th island?

I've been having the same bad luck, but thanks to post on this forum, today I have 2 48 hour dragons. Hoping for moon and another Panlong. Had in credibly good luck earlier, getting Panlong on first try with Mud and Blazing, both level 10. Got 2 rainbows also, then bred them for a third. But Sun, Moon and Sandstorm have eluded me. Have got plant shrine to silver and working on Ice.

What is the challenge to get Rainbows above level 10?

yes, flexibility is a nice thing to have. I know that I've grumbled quite a bit when I noticed one of the dragons I 'needed' was tied up. Good idea about using the babies in the colosseum. Do they ever win?

I've seen a screengrab of a level 1 baby winning Gold. I think the Collosseum wins are pretty random.

I do and it's no problem. Using the pinch technique helps cos you can shrink them and see most of any individual island at one time. I sometimes use it to collect hats if I'm short of time.

At the moment I'm not seeing any chance of getting the rates above ten. Perhaps that'll be in the update?
