Dragonvale Tips & Tricks! (NO Friend Requests!)

Well, ok, yeah - but, if it were time-delimited (one trade a week, say) and costly perhaps, in either gems or coins, to keep people from doing it constantly - it still could be fun, no?

Someone else mentioned the ability to chat within the game - that would be great too :)

What was that game I used to play on Facebook? FarmVille? One of those anyway. I liked the ability to chat with my neighbors and leave little signs with notes. Can't remember what happened to those signs, because they weren't permanently displayed, I think. Oh geez! These dragons have completely fried my brain :(

Anyway, I would like to see something like this in DV. Since we don't have it already I'm thinking it must use up too many resources? Idk.

"hidden wizard"? First I've heard of it. What's that about people? I'll be on the lookout now. Thanks for the heads up. Kim

Yeah I went looking for him last night after I saw someone post about it. Found him, poor little guy. You should move that habitat to let him out, Tommy.

I just finished the dayly competition and looked in the list for availability of the dragons in the HC but ... Alas, they do not appear in the list,
I must say that i am extremely lucky with the arena, just had another gold and on average i have 8 gold out of 10 competitions, and the two remaining are silver.

I'm saving for a 5th island but since I play on an iPhone not sure I really want to, since it's already hard to see the 4. Any thoughts from those that play on iPhones with the 5th island?

you can still see all 4 islands at the same time? Sweet!

I've seen a screengrab of a level 1 baby winning Gold. I think the Collosseum wins are pretty random.

And here I go putting my high level dragons in there thinking they have a better chance at getting me 5 gems. So much money lost!

Btw, was it you, Fletch, who mentioned the time in the game earlier? It stuck in my head and so I just looked: it seems like it's about 7:30pm. Please forgive me, I can't believe I'm going to ask this (maybe I should just Google it!!!), but which side of a, say, house is in the shade in the afternoon/evening in Australia? I know that you have your summers and winters confused, the drain goes the wrong way, but I never thought about shadows. You thought it was 1:30pm, right?

I've got all the islands and play on my iPhone 4, I think it's cool I mean you have to scroll around to see them all but it gives lots of decorating space. I haven't redecorated because I just don't know what to do at the moment but as soon as we get more decorations I'll probably start a complete overhaul of my islands. Breed on!!!!

Well although the Australians are on the southern half of our beautifull blue planet and have peculiar emm i mean different systems in driving etc. they still share the same sun as we do :) and it raises at the east and goes down on the west. The shades of the bojects are quite short meaning it is more towards the middle if the day when the sun is at its highest. As the shades are on the right sides it means the sun has already passed from right (east) to left (west) and thus it is likely 1 p.m or a bit later as Poppy quoted.

I've just been out 'visiting' and noticed one or two people are getting close to having the cash for their last island. Well done! I hope you can resist feeding the hungry beasties until you get them. Lol

No wonder my husband laughs at me when I read maps. I got it confused with the face of a watch, duh :o

Ok, so I think it's about 3PM.

No, I don't use the babies in the competition - they go to the HC and trade paces with their adult. Although I've been curious to try a baby and see how they do.
