You got tht right Adam. I know I won't be quitting anytime soon. It would be really sad. I for one was really annoyed with the golds at first. The more I sat back and thought about it though the more I realized it gives me something to do in between things so at this point I am in no hurry to complete them. Lol I think we all go a little coo coo but that is probably the point...it's fairly well developed if it can keep us going. :thumbs:

I don't know about anyone else but I got my first iPad the day iPad 1 came out. (bless my husband for going to stand in line with a major broken ankle to buy me one for my birthday) I have not stuck with any other game longer than maybe a month at the most but DV.

Thank you for getting it, when I explained the reason for the gold shrines some people didn't understand but some did so thank you! Breed on!!!!

Thank u yes it was a sand storm that's been my hardest dragon to get lol been trying monthssssss stil dnt no wot cold and fire fly with be got 15 hours left I think in the cave! I no I was lucky I won't get another rare now for ages lol xxx

Congrats again! Lol. Don't be so sure...seems like the rares are coming in pairs and more lately for everyone that is actually getting them.

Haha, I think you know the answer If it seems too good to be true, it usually is. It didn't work for me.

One correction - what showed up in the Colesseum is a level 15 Ice. I have no idea where it came from as it was not in a habitat. The only adults I have deployed right now are the rares, Panlongs, Frostfires and Bluefires. That will be the team until I get the Plant gold (at 29/50).

Did that Ice dragon drop out of the sky??????????

I've noticed, now that I'm at lvl 21 and party hats yield $4k, there are fewer in each friend's park than there were when I was at lower levels and the hats gave less money. Don't know if that's something that's planned...

I started in September but missed out on the halloween stuff because I went away on holiday and didn't have wifi available. Using 3G abroad is expensive and by the time I got back and discovered the bone dragon I couldn't breed it.
At that time there was supposedly a ghost dragon has anyone on here got one? If so I'd love to visit and see it. None of my current friends have it and no one has mentioned it.

It's not an Ice, it's a Bluefire named Champ that came out of one of my Cold habitats. Sorry for the false alarm.

Why is too good to be true ALWAYS too good to be true? Just once before I depart this earthly orb for that dragon park in the sky I would like to see too good to be true actually be true.

There was a picture of it and it's egg on a website that had all the other eggs and dragons on. That's why I thought it might be true. It was pretty, never mind.
Have only been on here since mid January so maybe I just haven't been trying the correct crosses for long enough yet. I'll stick with it. Can't wait to get the other rares.

I may have discovered something by accident. After the chat about the Colesseum I decided to enter the Water competition. So I moved the baby Fog to the HC and moved the adult to the habitat. The adult Fog was named Champ because it's won a couple of golds. When I scrolled down the list to enter I just clicked on Champ. However, it turns out that there is a level 15 Water dragon in the competition and the Fog is still on Nursery Island.

The Water adult was not in a habitat - it evidently came out of the HC into the competition. Does everyone know this already, or am I all wet (sorry!)? Can someone check the next time you enter a competition? It would really simplify matters if you could enter a dragon into the competition out of the HC. Very convenient and it wouldn't cost you any coins while it was competing for the 24 hours.

Seems too good to be true.

That would make sense as you move your dragon from HC to open habitat. Colesseum would be consider open.

I'm actually glad we can't. As much as I would love to give I think it would take away from the spirit of the game. It's supposed to be hard. I b!tch and moan when for the life of me I can't get what I want, but I wouldn't like it any other way.

Weird! Fewer than 3? Maybe they are just hidden very well, with all these islands and habitats - not to mention the crafty players we have here who like to hide their habitats - it's easy to miss hats. I always find them hard to see in the earth habitats.

Fletch, you're speaking in terms of labels and justification - marketing.

I'm speaking in terms of essence: net effect.

BFS could have just as easily said that beans, squash and peppers (those are just made up labels) grow faster and yield more food. But they chose to exploit those like me who had taken the bait - hook, line and sinker.

That closes the discussion from me. I'm moving on. I still have the Plant gold shrine to get.

Not to keep the unwanted discussion going, but ...

In games like this, there is more than just gold and product as factors. There is also time. So to compare pure result from cost between treats is only looking at part of the picture. The game rewards the higher price per treat items with a much shorter time to produce. This acts to level playing fields, particularly the money one. Good game designers of social games (not that DV is highly social in its gameplay) can prevent the dominance of "richest player wins" by forcing a time factor as a cost beyond money, whitch is something that even rich players cannot alter. Sorry this is not very clearly written - pain meds. Hope you get my just. Gotta look beyond mere gold-per-treat.
