Is there any way to guarantee a gold medal? Tired of always getting a silver in water event, I decided to make a little sacrifice and put my best dragon, a 14 level panlong, but still I got silver!!! That's dissapointing. I've tried with Water, Fog, Swamp, Mud, Iceberg and now Panlong and always get silver. I just want to get my water achievement (the only one I'm still missing) and move on but now I really don't know if its worth to keep trying, I mean, after all its only an achievement, there's no big gain. What do you think? Thanks in advance.

I don't think it's ever a guarantee but I swap using pure elements and hybrids and I get gold quite a bit I don't tend to use the same dragon too much and I use pans for all the elements they cover and usually a love but lately been using cactus too x x x

You mean you would have to sell them after you leveled them up ...

If they did give us rare shrines I'm sure they would up the storage on the HC anyways...that would be sooooo cruel if they didn't.

Thanks Vicky. That's how I got my first. Had been trying Fire and Snow, which worked on my primary account, but it didn't work on the second. I then noticed your so trying Fire and Ice when I was visiting and that worked for the first one. Just doesn't seem to want to work for the second. Will keep persevering. Thanks

If it helps, Brendan used the same pair repeatedly for both I got my first one from fire / mountain way back in nov but only recently got my other one with the fire and ice I would stick with those and if you can use fire and snow in the other cave until you get it unless you want to continue with shrines!!! brendan was not that worried about his shrines as he just wanted one of each available dragon with seconds of the good ones ( he has accomplished this all except a second moon which we will work on soon ) and I was taking break from the grind after competing the first four so decided to try for my second ..........hope you get it soon fingers crossed x x x

I guess I missed out on getting another Clover. Oh well. Now I'm busy trying for a 2nd Sandstorm and Bluefire. Oh and saving up for my next island ($50,000,000).

Oh no! Sorry to hear you didn't get that second clover. Good luck on the two your working on. It's a process isn't it? It always seems to come quicker than I thought it would when saving for a island. :thumbs:

Following your insight I decided to pair a blazing dragon with a cold dragon, and lo and behold, a frostfire first try!

I'm still of the impression that dragons have a greater chance of winning if it's their first try, and less when they repeat. But the impressions of people seem pretty diverse making me believe that it's just very random.
At least I've never had bronze with a level 10 dragon of the correct typing. It's always silver or gold.

I stick to that thoery too I never use the same dragon twice in less than a week x x x

I've noticed that since getting to level 30 I seem to be getting a lot more silvers in coliseum games :-(

Oohhh I want to see that movie!!! I went to the comic convention on the weekend - it was awesome!! I met Jonathon Frakes (Will Riker in Star Trek) it was very cool!!

I've read most James Patterson I think I liked the Alex cross novels alot and the women's murder club one were good too his novel letters to Nicholas was good too more of a love story but still good. And I'm also a big dean joints fan as well.

I was thinkng of checking out the Alex Cross novels...glad to see someone confirmed they were good. :thumbs: I recently read the witch and wizard series. Thought it was pretty good.

Love Stephen King, Dean Koontz, James Patterson and Anne Rice! :thumbs: All great authors! James Patterson seems to put out a new novel every couple weeks! lol Don't know how he does it...

That helps a lot. It's the unknowns that will get you down. Everyone I talk to that has done this have horror stories to tell. Watch those subs, get a detailed contract for everything and always check their work before paying anything.
