Dragonvale Tips & Tricks! (NO Friend Requests!)

I also love Stephen king and Dean koontz my king was also what got me hooked and that was desperation which I read about 13-15 years ago and have loved his books since In fact I lover any horror/ fantasy books I Started early with the goosebumps series moved onto point horror books then read desperation and started on stephen kings, koonts , Layman love em all x x x

vicky x. GCID dragonville10 my sons GCID coxy 26

Omg I loved the goosebumps books! Can't wait to get the grandkids reading them. I have to restrain from starting to collect them everytime I go to the bookstore lol

I'm still of the impression that dragons have a greater chance of winning if it's their first try, and less when they repeat. But the impressions of people seem pretty diverse making me believe that it's just very random.
At least I've never had bronze with a level 10 dragon of the correct typing. It's always silver or gold.

I had a bronze once with level 10... I believe it was in the last week or two.

Dean Koontz is my absolute favourite! I find his writing flows better than his counterparts.

I find the need to keep a dictionary close at hand when reading Koontz. I swear he tries to find the most obscure words to describe the banal. And, he finds a way to use "preternatural" in every single book. The stories are terrific. Have really enjoyed the "Odd" series, Frankenstein series and One Door Away from Heaven. Velocity is also good....oh well, they are all good.

That is incorrect logic. You are wasting food by feeding any dragons with fire, earth, air or water in them, except if they are Level 14 right now and they have 2 of those elements in them, like Mud, Blazing, Lava, Bone or Fog. A Mud dragon at Level 13 is better off left at level 13 and a Panlong fed up to 15 in instead. It would cost you 245 770 to feed a dragon from 13 to 15 for those 2 elements (122 885 per element) but only 327 660 to feed a Panlong up from Level 1 to 15 and get 4 elements done (81 915 per element).

Fletch I have a question about the shrine grind. With the introduction of the metal dragons and their quick earning ability (from breeding and selling) I'm finding it difficult to justify tying up a breeding facility for 36 hours with a Panlong. In 36 hours I can breed two 2 element dragons (i.e. mud - 6 hrs (12 total), blazing - 8 hrs(16 total), earn $45M DC (park total), use $33M for food and feed those two 2 dragons to level 15. I then have 2 dragons I can sell (in this case they are worth $1,250,000) and I can move on with the grind without waiting on Panlongs to breed and hatch.

If I go with the Panlongs, at 36 hours, one breeding facility is always tied up with Panlongs. And my total turn time for one dragon is 72 hours. So it takes twice as long as the above scenario to accomplish the same thing. They also limit my earnings as I can earn an additional $12M by breeding Mags over that 36 hour period (more than that if I skip some sleep). I realize that Pans return their weight in gold when leveled up and set up in Poppy's infamous CGCF. I have 4 earth habitats set up with 2 &/or 3 level 15 Pans. Unfortunately, I can't visit DV every hour to keep everyone in line and the wizard's keep getting free passes to see those exhibits and they stop earning at $75K!:D
I can usually manage a quick visit about every 4 or 5 hours (I normally do opt for sleep overnight however - but if I put whatever shrine pieces I'm after in the breeding facilities overnight that helps.)

So, I'm wondering whether I'm missing something in the math here? I realize it appears to be a waste of food - but really, we are talking about pumpermelons, beanstalks, & blushrooms right? ;) I'll be right up front and say, I'm rapidly losing interest and spending twice as long chasing Panlongs makes it even more boring in contemplating the gold shrine grind!! I'd rather spend the DC - but if I'm overlooking a detail in this as it extrapolates out and I'm in danger of extending the time this will take I'd like to know it now rather than later! Based on your earlier post in which you kindly explained how to figure out the most efficient way to reach shrine goals, following is what I have come up with:
Balance needed for gold:
Plant 46
Fire 33
Air 34
Earth 35
Water 33
Light 47
Cold 49
Metal 48
Total 325

Pans 33
Sandstorm
Reindeer 49
Mags 48
Total 132

I'm contemplating (based on above theory)
33 Blazing
33 Mud
2 Sandstorm
48 Mags
49 Reindeer
Total 165
As the Mags are "in the plans" anyway, I will feed one of them up every 2nd day or so with the extra cash available after feeding the others.

At the moment I have a Pans in the EBI after recently attaining level 30 and saving for the last island and realized that the moment I put those Pans in to breed my earnings felt like they slowed to a crawl. Which is what made me start thinking about this . . . .

Will you give this a look and tell me what you think please?

This gold grind is killing me... I am sssooooo broke!!!!
