I got my Leapyear dragon with flower and storm and it was 15hours so I try again for another with storm and flower, and it's 48hours. What could it be. I already got Rainbow, Sun and Moon

Well all these things you list are heresay ... hence conspiracy. I don't disagree that releasing a limited rare dragon us a good way to entice people to buy gems but you have no evidence that any of the numbered items above actually happened. Even 2 didn't happen right away as it was only after plenty of people had gotten one that the splash screen came up saying it was for a limited time. And people were spending gems like crazy before then.'

My point is justifying your behavior because of the actions of others is never a good thing. And justifying them on imaginary behaviours of others is just silly. You want to spend the gems because you need one or two of these dragons this very second ... then own it. Don't blame some imagined acts of contrivance by "the man".

Actually I didn't spend any gems because I quickly saw the futility in trying for a second one and stopped. But you're free to think what you wish. You dodged the bullet because you play the game your way and your way only, which I have expressed admiration for in the past. I'll close this now on my end, go back to suspension of disbelief, and simply enjoy the game.

I just got it you guys! That last post I replied to from flattsfanatic....I said if I get one more try which there it was....my regular breeding cave was done and ready so I sped up a swamp in the hatchery....last try...this was to be it! I put back in my gene theory firefly/seaweed (reverse order of the pair that got me my first 2 rainbows) and wouldn't you know it! I got it! No way will I speed it up! Haha

Second leap year with the same combo- love and cold! Both in the epic breeding island. Now I have a breeding pair. Anyone try breeding with one yet? If so, what combo and what did you get? Cannot wait to try but my breeding caves are full.

In all the frenzy, I did use about 15 gems total to speed things up (shorter time dragons) which for me is a lot because I only get gems from the coliseum. I know I would be terrible at keeping up with who gave me a gem when, so opted not to trade gems instead of being a bad citizen with respect to returning them. Funny thing is, I got my first LYDIA without realizing it until the egg was in the hatchery. The second was a last effort without much hope for getting the second.

Seaweed and firefly taking up BC with 5 hour. Not worth depleting my gems anymore

Will we be able to breed for the LYD til tomorrow night or does it end tonight? I got one incubating, was just hoping I had enough time to try for a second. While trying I got my first 48 hr breeding time so excited finally going to have a special dragon.

I would thinks so. Usually when they say that it usually ends at the end of the day there. Just keep trying!

Everyone has their own opinion. Looking back the last week Poppy summed it up pretty accurately. I would not say its heresay or a conspiracy it was reality. i experienced the anticipation, excitement, impossible success and now most of us in less than 6 hrs. at most have a second or first, compared to 24 hours ago. Was it just luck for everyone here? Or a business model to hook its players to buy gems and raise the most money?

Lastly, coming from Internet sales, manipulation is a common practice to secure sales.

That's entirely up to you. If it was me, I would take the gamble and try again. Would not go and buy more gems though. I only ever use what I got, never buy, but that's me. Other option is to wait till last minute and let it tick down, meaning less gems used, and then go again.

Couldn't agree more! I'm not sure this is what BFS had in mind because I suspect they didn't have a clue this game would be so successful -- who'd a thunk it!?!?!?! However, I do believe they would be foolish to not take a look at some of these amazing island designs and capitalize (even more!) on the "designing" aspect of the game. Somewhere along the way, it seems to me, the folks who play this game started taking true ownership and pride in their island designs. And not just because of the "visitor" count! More because they enjoy the process of designing and sharing them. Look at you and your WONDERFUL nursery island dedicated to the "Cousin Posse"! Are you kidding me? It's fabulous - I'm so glad it's back!!

ilUli's islands epitomize the design aspect of the game to me. Probably because she is a photographer (and would appear, quite talented) it is more apparent. Never the less, it is an interesting facet to the game that I really hadn't thought about in a business sense. I have been playing DV for fun! Lol!

The past couple of days with the LYD have gotten me thinking about any number of interesting - and no doubt irrelevant - aspects of the game. I suspects this merely means I have too much time on my hands and its time for springtime gardening in Kansas City!
