Hi,

I tried search but didn't see this one.
When I plug in the charger into the port, it make a little sound to let me know it is connected. But when I set down the iPad, the connector sometimes comes just slightly disconnected, enough that it is no longer charging, but not fallen out. I may or may not notice it, so there are mornings when the iPad is not charged up.
Is there a way to get it to make a sound when the power is disconnected?
Thanks,
Dwight

I have seen this happening on high use units, the 30 pin plug not holding in. I can't offer how to set your iPad to make a sound but have you checked the plug and the socket in both cases to see just what's there using a magnifying lens or best a hands free headband magnifier. I swear by the headband because on the case of friend's with connector trouble it usually comes down to a piece of lint or paper jammed into the iPad socket meaning the connector can't seat correctly. One case the charger plug was damaged, with twisted, bent end clasps but it was an aftermarket, non genuine Apple and I've never seen that issue with genuine Apple connectors.

So have a quick look at things with a magnifier and see just why that plug is coming off...
