can't see ipad2

Good morning

I just jail broke my ipad2 so I could use Its 3G connection to power the Internet on my laptop.
I downloaded tetherme with cydia, and installed it. The personal hotspot area in the settings area of the ipad2 tells me to plug the iPad into the pc and choose the iPad from the list of network services. My problem is that my iPad is NOT showing up in network connections.
can anyone help me with my problem??

Probably the best tethering app is MyWi. You can use your 3g to connect your laptop over wifi instead of a cable.
