Camera connection kit patch

Hi,

New to the forum and since Christmas the iPad.

As a photographer on location being able to use a USB drive via the connection kit would be really useful. I obviously googled the problems there have been with the power through the port, but was hoping that there might be a tweak / patch via cydia to get around the problem .... But cannot find any information.

Is there any way to get thumb drives to work ?

I'm running IOS5 on the ipad2 if that makes any difference.

Unfortunately, no, it's still a "catch as catch can" process. There is nothing in Cydia - you just have to keep trying USB drives until one works.

On the brighter side, SDHC cards up to 32 GB work well. So, there's that...

None of my USB drives work !! But my camera will link directly. I don't use sd cards only cf so the other connector is useless for me really lol
