Does anyone understand fully the rating system within the world map?
I am currently rated number two on my map for flights to the North Observatory.
I believe that we will be rewarded with an unspecified number of tokens for a "high rank" against any particular destination and this is measured each week. These tokens then contribute towards the purchase of special planes.
I don't know what is considered a high rank? Is it No 1 or 2 or what? I would expect that maybe the top 3 or so people for each destination will get tokens each week, but this is only a guess.
Also, are the special planes really worth having? Is it just that they complete flights in 10% less time - it seems like a lot of effort for little improvement, especially when we are always having to buy and sell our planes for different quests.
Will these weekly events run from Monday to Monday as the first event was launched with the new update last Monday night (I think)?
Finally, it's curious that whilst I seem to be currently ranked at No 2 on the North Observatory destination on my iPad, when my nephew looked for my name on the same destination on the map on his iPhone 5, I am nowhere in the rankings. His listing shows completely different players. Do they operate different listings for different platforms or different countries or continents? If they do, then maybe this is giving us a better chance of achieving a decent weekly rank. If we were competing against every player in the world, then the odds of success are clearly much worse.
It would be interesting to know whether my name (Nuttyuk) appears on anyone else's listing for this specific destination - especially if you are playing on an iPad 2.
Incidentally, I have received 6 of the special (silver) tokens for the completion of a rocket flight and these are now listed under the new tab in my warehouse.
This message is primarily to encourage debate...the forum has been so quiet for so long.

Nutty
