A visitor to my backyard that I rarely see. I don't know if she was just passing through, or if she usually hides better.

Ah--very nice whitetail deer, Czevski! They are beautiful, aren't they? I wonder what you had differently for them to come, or maybe they have been there all that time and you didn't notice?

Our deer make the rounds here daily. It's really nice to watch them, especially during a snow fall. It's so pretty!

Thanks, for sharing!

The wooded area is just a half acre, so deer are usually just traveling through. I have a good friend who has a much larger woods that is connected to more wild areas and a large park. She frequently sees deer. My neighborhood is getting more suburban every year, but there is a power-line easement that runs through wild areas, neighborhoods, and close to a river.

Beautiful deer and so well camouflaged there. You look as if you were very close to it and it was looking right at you also.

What a lovely sight to see and I hope it does come back again.

Great photos Czevski! It would be a pity to have a neighbourhood like yours, still attracting wild animals like that, to get too suburbanised. Looking at that first photo, and knowing that if you stare at random patterns long enough you get to imagine shapes, I swear I can see the head of another deer above and a bit to left of the deer's head in the picture. Or a wolf? Maybe not.....lol

Great photo Czevski. I love deer. I've only seen them when I'm out riding as our fields are close to a busy thoroughfare.

Thanks everyone! I take loads of pictures now that digital is available. These deer photos were especially pleasing because having a deer in my yard is so rare. I have to say though, I hope sightings stay rare because I don't want my new landscape plantings to get eaten.

Very nice, Lanny! We got about 7 inches of snow here-it's very pretty, but sort of rough driving in it Saturday night!

Wonderful photos Czevski!

Looks like the deer are going to be regulars at your place!

Love that third photo of the squirrel on the post.....looks like a pineapple in silhouette!

Czevski--I love all your pics! That deer pic is wonderful-he looks very majestic. They seem to have found your house and all your yummy birdseed. They will have to compete with those cute little squirrels too. Our squirrels here look to be quite well fed right now! One of them is so large to almost looks like a gopher! ;)
