My iPhone backup became corrupt for some unknown reason, I think there was a problem with iTunes syncing my phone. I spent numerous hours trying to find information after an Apple Advisor told me I had "lost everything" (including pics and videos). I discovered iTunes does back up media files (Apple Advisor told me iTunes "is not mean't to used for backing up media files" ) and there was a simple way of finding them. I created a simple tutorial on how to recover pictures and videos from a corrupt iTunes backup.Here's how I recovered my pictures and videos without the need of third party software, iTunes and extraction tools. Please note this method only recovers pictures and videos.
