Random Recovery Loop!

Hi! So as far as I know, my iPad air has not been updated to the new IOS 8 but it suddenly restarted on me today twice, while flashing what looked like the blue screen of death. Pretty random. However the second time, it threw me into a recovery loop!! I really thought the only way to get out of it was to 'restore' on iTunes so I did it but the loop continued!! Now I have no idea if my iPad has been wiped, is it still possible, if I end up finding a way to end the loop without restoring, that my stuff (notes, app progress, contacts etc.) is still there even though I never backed it up, Which yeah I know, SO STUPID. :( Does anyone know of a method? Thanks!

I am unsure if your settings and data will still be there once you stop the loop.

By the way, I deleted your other thread you started today on this same topic. Making more than one post not only fragments the conversation and makes it hard to follow - it's against the forum rules. Please keep any follow-ups, discussion or updates on this topic to this thread; do not start another. Thanks for your understanding.
