Ipad external hard drive

Im in the market for an external hard drive. One that i can store my medias as well as my word files. But access them and work on them. Is there one that you know of that can handle that.

 

[The Alternative]

I use the GoFlex Satellite 500GB wi-fi external hard drive for media (music, movies, tv shows, etc.) and the Dropbox app for all my word/pdf/txt documents.

Ok so my next question with the go flex do u have to have internet or wifi connection. Im worried about the usage of my limited gb Do u know of any other external hard drive where i can manipulate my files as well as media within the hard drive like a reg external hard drive. Basically i am looking for a mobile ipad external hard drive. That can work like a regular external hard drive.
