iPad 3G Support Group Thread

So I am one of those people who preordered just a couple of days too late to be in on this Friday's delivery...apple says ships on May 7th. I am going on a trip on May 14thand desperately want it for then. I am debating on going and standing in line at best buy tomorrow and seeing if i can get one and thgen cancel my order with apple...what do you think...

Apart from this forum, I don't know how big a buzz the 3G release has created. Certainly if you have the time, try for an in-store purchase....I think that a 5:00 pm release in a BB store that's been open since 10:00 am poses logistical problems, but it just may be an adventure! Look at it this way: nothing ventured, nothing gained....

Where did you get the delivery status app? Actually, that might be great. I am also waiting for my new mink coat to be delivered. So I am doubly excited!!!!!!!!!!!

I pre-ordered at 9am EST on the first day and I'm just now "Prepared for Shipment"...

Delivery Status is available in the app store as a universal app for both ipad and iphone/ipod touch. It is a beautiful app. on both devices. Also, it syncs information about various shipments between the cloud, your iPad and iPhone. Awesome!.

still no change for me - but at least this obsessive forum checking led me to a nice new app, thanks to Dignan!

(true, Apple.com is free, but this app looks very convenient and will let me check however many shipments I happen to have pending in one place. I live in the middle of nowhere so most of my purchases come on a brown or green/purple truck!)

Ordered mine (3G 64G) on 3/25, status still shows "Late April"
