Cant update my apps

I had been using my wife's apple id on my ipad.and i created my own ID while 50 apps waiting to be updated.now i can download new apps with my new ID but i can update old ones... Any advice????

Go to the AppStore, then go to featured (I'm still on old iOS 5 so it may have changed, but il do my best to help) either way look for a box which shows your apple ID. Touch it and you can sign out and sign in on your wife's account. Then you can download the updates. Repeat this step to then log back in using your own ID.
