I had this error with my iPad 1 when I got the IPSW from a mate of mine. I was unsuccessful after
messing around for quite some time. Eventually I just left iTunes to download and update the OS.
Worked like a charm.

Other option you can try is updating on a different PC mate.

Ok, next only other option I have is to run jailbreak again and see what happens. If we were closer I would helped in person.

You need to add a plane ticket to that taxi cab fare mate...
Do a search on the forum, there's plenty of info on jailbreak..
