The "jailbreak methods" sticky in this forum, which is also linked in my signature, should help you identify the best current method for you.
If you are not currently JB it sounds as though you would probably be best to update your 3.2.2 iPad to 4.3.1 with iTunes, and then jailbreak it using redsn0w.
