This is the Memorial Hall of Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts.

It is "a symbol of Boston's commitment to the Unionist cause and the abolitionist movement in America." (Wikipedia)

It was built to honor the sacrifices made by Harvard men during the American Civil War.

The hall does not commemorate the 3 Harvard students who had died fighting for the Confederates. It only commemorates the Harvardians who had died fighting for the Slaves.

It's Mt Erebus, an active volcano located on Ross Island, Antarctica. It was discovered in 1908 by Edgeworth David and party.
