It's the part of The Thousand Islands Bridge system that crosses the Canada-US border between Wellesley Island, New York and Hill Island, Ontario.
Here's the Wikipedia article.

And what a beautiful spot it is to spend the day.
Our exact location was Ivy Lea Park which operates a seasonal campground with day use facilities and a small beach in a cove located directly under the bridge.
I was able to take some less touristy pictures.
This is one of the suspension cable anchors.
And the opposite side.
Below is a photo of an automated watch tower. Its purpose is to detect movement including any attempt to climb onto the bridge. BTW I was under constant video surveillance while taking these images.
The fence surrounding the bridge footing appears to have sensors in it to detect movement.
Beneath the bridge as viewed facing south, from the Canadian side if the frontier.
What is interesting in all of this is ... even post 9/11, this location is among the most porous along the Canada / U.S. frontier. The water, the islands, the coves and inlets and the free movement of recreational boats ....
Hope you enjoyed the challenge & travel log.
Over to you scifan.
