Hi Leelai...do you have one? If not will you get one...and if so will you get a wifi or a cellular one?

I actually bought one for my daughter when she graduated but then decided on a different gift......I was going to keep it but returned it. We are getting all 3 of our girls one for Christmas. I'll just get them the base model and they can decide if they would like to upgrade and what to......too much snooping involved trying to find out. ;)

I still haven't decided what size I will get.....but will get 3G as I want the GPS feature... Can't wait....I've played with them and they are so light and easy to handle!

I've been torn with the wifi vs the 3G feature and know that you have it on your iPad and that you use it quite a bit. Just making out my list to Santa and also for my Birthday and still trying to decide. My nephew has the wifi MINI and it is so light. He loves it and uses it in school quite a bit for note taking, taking screen shots, etc.

Your girls are going to love their Christmas gifts, such a great ideal! :)

I bought the wifi only version cuz I use my pad on home the most and I have a VZW hotspot on my iPhone for 20.00 a month. Save 10.00 on separate iPad plan for 30.00. And save a couple Of $$$ on the pad. 699.00 vs. 829.00 for 4G / wifi 64GB

Even if it wasn't about the GPS I would still get the 3G......I like all my devices to be stand alone and useable straight away....I know I could hotspot with my new phone but then would worry about the battery running down faster all the time. Just more steps for me to connect for it.....I know I would just get cranky about it over time. But that's me! ;). Good luck with that decision!

PS......hope my daughter doesn't come on here and read that.....just wouldn't be good....I like them to be surprised!

Yes-that has been my thought as well and worried about running the battery down on another idevice if I need to use it for the phone purpose.

BTW...feel free to edit out some of this...:)

Sure, and I always keep chargers on me just in case. I am home w mine most of the time or if at work I use hotspot and keep the phone charged.

I would like to add my congratulations to your son, AA. You must be justifiably proud.
