What's new

What are you guys doing right NOW??? ;)

Heading to the football stadium to watch the Grey Cup Game, after watching the fans carry the trophy to the stadium.

<img src="http://www.ipadforums.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=50476"/>The Grey Cup game is the championship game of the Canadian Football League.

I love football (not so much soccer). Wish they had your Grey Cup on TV down here.

I believe that one of the NBC sports channels is broadcasting the game in the States.

Edit: The NBC Sports Network is broadcasting the game.

Recovering from a long trip to the city where I had my first experience with the world of apple in their head office store. What a culture shock! After my fun, engaging real people apple guys in the little city.My Mac repair guy had suggested I go right to the source and see what they would do for me.He was of the opinion that it was a system fault and not the speaker after speaking to the head office about getting a speaker part to replace in my Ipad 3.
Remember that my Ipad 3 stopped giving me any sound except through external speakers? And I noticed my problem after installing 10S 7....one month and 4 days after warranty?
I live 2 expensive ferry rides from Vancouver and did everything I and my buddies on this forum could do to figure out this issue? And when my Mac guy said he thought that apple would give me satisfaction to the tune of $150. or so I was optimistic.
Wrong!:(
Apple store was packed.I had an appointment. .30 young red shirted drones and 200 or so young round backed screen watchers. The acoustics where frightening and I got my ten minutes to plead my case. She waved her magic diagnostic wand and went into the back room lair.Instead of a Santa Mac work shop of industry ,I now believe back behind the wall were only cases of product straight from the cargo ship. By now they insisted I was 93 days out of warranty and were totally adamant that I was in the wrong for not having spent $100. for an extended apple care.THEY didn't CARE. They offered me a replacement to the tune of $300 bucks.
I was pissed! I remained civil and expressed my disappointment in the Apple Company.I said that I wasn't interesting in investing any more money in a product that they were not backing and treated as a throw away toy.
What a waste of time.
For the next two days I visited relatives that all use iPads and commiserated with them and was surrounded in sympathy.
Imagine my surprise home again this evening when I heard a faint clicking sound and no speaker was plugged in! Yes there was a swish sound!Oh my goodness turn on a pod cast..yes I have sound....very tinny and very quiet. But as I type here I can hear my mail ping.
My friend 79 year old friend Uri diagnosed my ipad correctly standing on the street listening to my lament in about 2minutes.i have a simple connection issue to my speaker and my travels to the city walking onto ferries jostling with my dog lead and back pack in and out of vehicles reconnected some Micky Mouse solder job.
APPLE would rather make garbage than fix my ipad!!!
And I will never purchase another Iproduct again.
Not till they finish moving their factories to N.America.
And probably not even then. I'm going back to my young apple geek to try to convince him to open it up and connect the damn wire properly and spread my story.

Wondering why I have to press the home button to exit News stand app. Pinching does not work. IntEresting for a stock apple app?

It's this way since the update to iOS 7. There's a workaround: once you closed the app, you can open the newspaper you were reading, using the multitask bar. When you stop reading (pinch to close newspaper), you get to the homescreen.

Just spent an hour removing EVERY app ever installed on my iPhone and my iPad. For some reason, when I plugged into my computer to back my iPad up, they ALL installed, filling up every screen and making me crazy. After I finally deleted them all I had to plug back in to change my sync settings back to what they were two days ago. In the process of doing that, I got blasted once again by ALL those apps again.
.
I wish I could remove previously purchased apps from the list, a lot of these were tried when I got my iPhone or iPad and discarded. A lot were for iPhone only use and never intended to get to my iPad. Whew, at least I'm done with that for today, who knows when it will randomly happen again.
