iv'e just now gotten out of accessibility hell. .I turned voice over on and didn't really know the decidedly different gestures to go with it. I had this voice driving me crazy till I remembered to use the volume button .Then I couldn't scroll down to where I knew the accessibility button was to turn off voice over . a reboot did nothing. Then I got into safari And I couldn't get the key board to type.Same in IPF. I had visions of having to take the ferry to the city to the Mack store for help.In my panic I inadvertently used gestures that got me to the off button I have no idea how. When I went into the tutorial I read that apple recommends using ITunes to access voice over rather than settings on the ipad. Now they tell me!I'm back to normal now with a request from hubbie not to do that again.
just read Leelai's horror.Felt quite sick about it.Nothing like that impotent feeling when your kids need you and there is nothing you can do.The adrenalin actually hurts . glad you could contact them.Very happy all is well.
Thank you Dianne.... I didn't enjoy that feeling at all. Once I knew exactly where my daughters were and where the gunman was I certainly felt better about it all.
First reports were that there may have been up to 4 gunmen and Police were trying to find them. Turned out 3 of them were undercover police and they were tailing him as he was acting very erratic. When he pulled his gun out, the 3 police did too and total mayhem ensued with everyone running and screaming in sheer terror. Must have been a very bad experience for many.
Your post has just reminded me of the tragic stabbing of a school girl on a bus in Birmingham this week. She tweeted about a guy who was on the bus some days before and moving around erratically. He made her feel uneasy. She died from a single stab.
The guy was caught and has been sectioned under the Mental Health Act.

Hayles66 said:Yes, I've been following this news too, Richard. Apparently the 16 or so people on board the bus just thought it was teenagers mucking around. She was alone with him upstairs? One woman waited until he left to Attend to her but it was too late. Poor girl. Around here, the kids get picked up by school bus. I wonder why she took a public one? Anyway she was 16 the week before. Poor family.
