Oh Leelai! Glad to hear you are okay. I did hear that on the news, didn't even think that you or your girls could be involved. We have had this before with a previous mod (SweetPoison) whose daughter was held up outside her shop. It just gives you the hebies to think someone you know could be involved. Thank goodness. Had that stiff drink yet?

I'm just catching up on the threads. This particular thread had been busy - 4 screens' worth of catch up.
Your unfolding story about the gunman was very worrying Leelai. I'm so glad to learn that the episode ended without any injuries or worse.

Thank you Hayley, and what a coincidence, I too thought of Sweet Poison and what happened to her daughter while this was going on.
That drink had to wait......I had an appointment at the optometrist, couldn't go there plastered....one drink is all it takes for me!
I'm very relieved Richard.....just all seemed so surreal that this happened here of all places. They were very glad that I was ringing them with news of what was happening though.....as was everyone in the shop. It's the not knowing what was happening that had them all on edge. Before I rang, the shop attendants herded them all into a store room to wait it out, just in case.

Home safe and sound....with new clothes too
As I was giving them updates on what was happening, everyone in the shop then felt better about the situation. My girls made good use of their time and were trying on clothes. :O
Oh to be young and not have a care in the world. Meanwhile mum was at home in a dither!
I could use that stiff drink right about now to settle myself. Thank you everyone.
It would appear I missed all the excitement.
Happy to learn your girls are safe and that they have the good sense to contribute to the economy to help pay for police.
Hope you had that stiff drink too although my guess is even without it, you were already "shaken, not stirred."
Myself I'm grabbing some breakfast and Joe before hitting the road. Again.

Glad everything worked out alright. I can understand the anxiety you went through. The late news we got was that he was shot with rubber bullets. Whatever, he was shot, captured. And some good came of it. They got to try on gearLOL
