Glad you got to see the episodes, however you found them.

In case you want the Amazon video app: Amazon Instant Video on Apple iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch

(Clicking on this should take you to the app in iTunes.)

Amazon Video got episode 4 of Downton Abbey season three maybe two or weeks ago, so I've watched it a couple of times already, lol. On Tuesday, Amazon has promised, subscribers of the Downton season will see all remaining episodes of season three.

I tried Hulu, but couldn't find anything I wanted to watch beyond a Korean movie, so I watched and canceled my subscription. I'm on Netflix and Amazon subscriptions, and I use VPN to stream British movies and shows on iTV, BBC and TV Catchup, and Asian movies from apps and websites.

Episodes of Mr. Selfridge are available on the iTV app, so I might check them out. Thanks for the tip.

The Amazon instant video app isn't available in Canada, I just tried to download it.

I didn't check availability elsewhere, but Skimonkey should be able to get it in the Detroit area.

For others, VPN is a possibility. I used that and the iTunes UK store to get apps for BBC and iTV, for instance. I have accounts for Asia, too. I would happily pay for stuff like BBC, but they don't sell it in the US store.

Same in Estonia. Lots of apps are not in my region for download. Stupid region policy just pisses me off. Have to find now a way to workaround

As long as laws vary around the world for copyrights and other intellectual property, there will be gaps in availability. Given that Estonia is not a big market, I'd expect more gaps, because there's less financial incentive to serve such markets. If you're not into waiting and hoping, I'd suggest getting VPN access if possible.

There are various uses for VPN, but what I mean in this context:

I subscribe to a VPN service, which among other things, lets me download and stream content from iTunes stores around the world by hiding my real IP address and giving me an IP address in whatever country I want access to.

Specific setups will depend on which VPN provider you use. But if I didn't have VPN, I couldn't access apps, movies, music or books that I want from other countries' iTunes stores. (I still have to pay for paid content, of course, but I can get access to all the freebies, too.)

You can change the location of your App Store. That's easy enough judging by the numbers who have done it on the forum. Only trouble is, your IP address still shows up as Estonia, and your foreign accounts could be closed by Apple, since it breaks their rules. So you use a VPN server based in the country you want your other App Store account.

The other problem is paying for purchases. You need a way of paying using local currency, and I've no idea how you go about doing that.

I just buy iTunes cards from other countries. You can order online, buy if you happen to be there, or have friends buy for you. For free apps, there's no need to pay. You can create accounts with no credit card number or iTunes gift card -- then all you can get are freebies.

Ah-there's the app! Thanks, Ms. kaykaykay! I will need to look at this and also Hulu to see which one to get and is worth keeping. I do like Netflix and will keep that, but amazon also looks to have a nice offering as well!

Thanks again!

Blood and Steel? Great series!

Not sure!! Only actor I knew in it was the guy who played the prosecutor in Law and Order in the last few seasons before they cancelled the series.
