Very new here

Good evening quite new to apple products and really enjoying my I Pad Air but I have not used my laptop much at all since I got this machine and have read elsewhere that this is fairly common I have a problem but not sure where to post any help out there

Pages on mi I Pad Air occasionally just cut back to homa page it didn't do this at first but does seem to be doing it more as time goes by any suggestions please software is up to date ??

Hello! Welcome to iPF! There were updates for PAGES, Numbers, and Keynote yesterday, if you did that update, your software is up to date.

What you can try is force closing Pages and opening it again.

FORCE CLOSING APPS

1. Perform a four-finger upward swipe to bring up the multitasking window.
2. Perform an upward swipe on the app window (not icon) for Pages.
3. Re launch pages normally.

Let us know if Abs good advice works for you here. Whenever the iPad receives an update, all apps need to be tweaked to run smoothly also, sometimes we have a teething period when this happens.

Also a good idea to reset your iPad after an update, it just helps everything settle in nicely.....it won't change anything and is just like rebooting a PC.

Reset - Hold the power off button and the home button simultaneously, keep holding them in and you may see the power off slide appear and disappear, wait until you see the Apple logo appear before releasing the buttons. It will take a little longer for your iPad to start.

Hi thanks for all replies,finished up talking to Apple helper this morning my pad went silly no screen orientation,no connection to I Tunes Storeand increased activity on the screen flashing back to home page all the time any way to cut a long story sHort every thing was removed from pad and then reset as a new pad ,a up to now it appEars to work fine but only time will tell again thanks for your replies and thank you for your welcome messages
