Update 15.7.1 fail

I’ve tried to update my iPad Mini 4 about 5 times now and it keeps coming up with “update failed”. It’s fully charged and on the same network that my partners iPad Air successfully updated. Any thoughts?

No, as I updated my iPhone to 15.7.1 without any trouble. I also updated my old iPad Pro to 16.1.1.
I tried again but no joy. I then bit the bullet and attempted to update my Mini to 16.1.1 and that worked!!! I did notice that it asked to temporarily delete apps which I clicked ok.
