Hi,
I just downloaded Duo Lingo and am enjoying it quite a bit. There is an exception however, in that I don't know how to type the "~" over the "n" in any Spanish word that uses it.. Like El Niño. Right here the predictive type just filled it in. However, I'm not getting this in that program. Is there a way to type these characters.using the regular keyboard?

When the keyboard is onscreen, press and hold the letter N. You will see a selection of choices appear, slide your finger over the ñ and release, your problem should be solved.

Extra:

Almost all the accents, and many other special characters, can be typed that way. Hold the key most like the one you want, and the available characters will appear.

Another options is to go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards, and add the Spanish keyboard. Once you have more than one keyboard added you can use the world key (that will appear to the left of the space key) to quickly switch between the English, Spanish, and any other keyboard layouts you've enabled.

I really should revisit Duo Lingo. I slacked off, then let it slide, and now I'm going to have to practically start over. Well, at least I wont' have to unlock the first few lessons again, I hope.

You can go to settings>general>keyboard and add a spanish keyboard wish will allow you to type in spanish a little more easy as you don't get auto corrections on english :)
