Two itunes accounts on 1 iPad?

I'd like to add a US account to get several IM and streaming apps. Is it possible to have apps from 2 different accounts (and from 2 different countries) installed and updated? If so, how do you do it? Is it just a matter of logging out and logging in the 2 accounts? Can you get suspended? Thanks in advance.

Apparently you can as long as you sign in and out of the two different accounts as needed.

Thanks. I tried changing my address to a US one but after changing the country back the US apps won't show up or update.
