The "Anything Goes" thread

As this is the anything goes thread , I wonder if someone has an answer .
after i select a photo in the library you can pinch to zoom which is normal but yet you can also rotate the image while you still have two fingers on the screen then after removing them the image returns back to its original orientation?
Why ?

The update screwed up my messages. argh....anyway, im thinking it reverts because there was no edit and save to the changes? That's why it reverts. I think the pinch and zoom is a convenience feature. I could be way off though.

You must tap the edit button first before rotating.

I tried that, but the only options it has are to select then delete?

Then as soon as I let go again the image restores back to normal

You should be seeing these controls:

Yes, I get that, and I can rotate the image at the bottom , I was just wondering when in library mode why you can rotate with two fingers then it restores, its because it allows the image to rotate I thought there might be a reason for it until you let go, does yours do it?

Yes, mine does it too. It's not for editing, only a fancier and showier way of opening photos (slowly pinching to open)

That's why I disabled push notifications and sounds for iPF right off the batt :)
I have about 100 badges on it, I don't pay attention to it... :D

BTW, congratulations on becoming an official iPad Ninja! :)

I don't know the answer, but have you got the lock rotation setting on? The slider button next to the volume buttons on your iPad can be set either as mute, or lock rotation.

It looks like your query was answered by Goofy and others, Drew Wal. That's one of the pitfalls of answering a query before reading the newer posts ;). Then... If I read the new posts before answering a query, I may have to spend time searching for the original query. :(

It's called the joys of Ipf Richard.

It's my 46th birthday on Monday 29th October and hubby is home all day. Yippee! Makes a change. He has to work on his birthday which is on Wednesday Halloween. He will be 50 years old. Bless.

Anyone else share my birthday or any next week?
