stuck in guided acces mode(??)

Hello, I have a problem, I turned on guided acces on my Ipad 2 and I can not exit because the grey block that has been locked contains the "guided acces" and tick mark. I do not have a laptop anywhere near me and I have hard reseted my ipad, it took three tries untill it finally worked, turned back on but unfortunately took me back exactly where I left off.

So tripple clicking the home button, then entering the passcode you set up isn't working? That's how you are supposed to exit guided access. I have no idea what you are talking about with the 'grey block' unless you are talking about disabling app controls. That shouldn't stop you from using the normal guided access exit method.

The grey block is basically the area I had chosen for guided acces.

Also, every time I restart my ipad, it goes back to normal for a few seconds but then puts me back exactly where I left off.

Guided access is supposed to lock the iPad to a particular app, not put a translucent grey area on the screen that prevents the touchscreen from working. If Johanna's advice doesn't work, come back and we'll try something else.
