So many visitirs to the Forum ?

How come tha there are less then 30,000 members in the forum, yet there are threads with up to 100,000 viewers ?
Does it mean the forum is counting also the one's who visit us from Google, and are not subscribed to the forum ?
Just wandering...

Truth is , never heard that term before ( I am an Israeli)
Looked in Wikipedia :
"a lurker is a person who reads discussions on a message board, newsgroup, chatroom, file sharing or other interactive system, but rarely or never participates actively. Research indicates that "lurkers make up over 90% of online groups" (Nonnecke & Preece 2000). Lack of trust represents one of the reasons explaining lurking behavior.
