Another great racing game is going free in the app store for just one day today as part of Apple’s 12 Days holiday promotion in Europe. Unfortunately it’s not available for free in the US though, unlike some of the 12 Days offers. SHIFT 2 Unleashed features more than 20 Quick Race Trials, with 40 cars, including the exclusive Pagani Huayra. Other game modes include a Career mode, Race Friends mode and Single Race. Earn credits to upgrade your car’s acceleration, tires and suspension. You can also use nitrous boosts and customize your ride with spoilers, rims, snazzy paint jobs and body kits. Also, if you sign up to Origin, you can unlock exclusive cups, leaderboards and free NFS cash. Give it a try to see what you think, it is free, after all!

It's $0.99 here in Canada. EA is having a huge $0.99 sale. I love their sales. I buy their games all the time. Them and Gameloft.

Perhaps I did something wrong but when I clicked the link above I was informed that this was only available in the iTunes UK store. When I closed iTunes and clicked the Free tab I was informed, again, this particular item was only available in the iTunes UK store.

.99 cents here ~ free promotion is over. The reviews are not that great. Crashes, poor graphics.

I think the graphics are ok but then I'm no hardcore gamer. I've tried the first nine events and had no crashes at all.

No origins won't work for me either but it is workin on FIFA 12 but won't on need for speed shift 2 .
