M martinc31415 iPF Noob Jun 30, 2010 #3 I have mine in a neoprene cover type thing. I do not have it in a leather portfolio so it may not be the same. Having said that, mine charges with no issues. Cool as a cucumber (or vegetable of your choice).

M markk100 iPF Noob Jul 1, 2010 #4 I charged mine twice thus far...once in the case and once with no case...didn't notice a bit of difference in temperature...to the touch anyway. Leads me to believe both ways are okay... Cheers, M

I IPad-Fan-64 iPF Noob Jul 11, 2010 #6 I charge mine in my case (apple) and doesn't over heat or anything.
