safari crashing on iPad

suddenly my safari browser crashes when i attempt to launch it. anyone else experiencing this problem? how do i reinstall safari on my iPad?

You cannot uninstall and reinstall Safari, because it is a native app. Try clearing your cache and cookies in Settings/Safari/clear cookies and data.
