Safari crashes and disappears

Hi

I am a new iPad user. Safari has crashed...first going back to home screen twice and then crashing completely. The icon remains, but all pages are blank ie untitled. I have restarted...situation persists. How do I I resolve? What is causing this? Thx

How is your wi-fi setup? Also, can you get to say, the Appstore or some other application that requires network connectivity?
