Recipents cannot hear me on Ipad 2/64

I have an ipad 2/ 64 and I love it, but on face time when I link to others to speak to them, they can see me but cannot hear me. I down loaded irecorder pro, and recorded a message and when I played it back, I could only hear static. I could sense my voice but it was bearly readable.

Any solutions, I am ready to take it to the apple store and have them look at it.

Sounds like a broken microphone. I'd take it back in, I'm sure they'll swap it for a new one.
