I explain I was looking at my settings and noticed something strange and that is there re 2 profiles nstalled.

I purchased my iPad brand new stilled factory sealed.

I never installed any profiles.

I included some pictures of these.

Question: How did these profiles get installed.

Jeff Broderick Releases QuickWiFi to Easily Share Network Credentials | iPhone in Canada Blog - Canada's #1 iPhone Resource

have a look at that.

someone you know must have sent you a link to install their wifi settings profile.

also if you are the type of person who resets their iPad often or has multiple devices you can download the iPhone Configuration Utility.
This will let you create a mobile profile file that contains all of your iOS settings, Wifi Networks and everything like that. And ever time you reset iPad all you have to do is load that file again to get back all of the settings and wifi networks setup. You can also set one up that only contains your WiFi network info and then email it to family/freinds to give them access to your network.

Thank you for the information. I do not need to share what is on my iPad with anyone. I do not know anyone with a iPad that are friends of mine.

This is also used by companies and organizations.

Like for example schools can get a large amount of iPads, Configure all the settings one time and generate a mobile profile. Load the profile onto the iPads and all the settings are configured saving a ton of time.

also if companies give out iPads to employee's they can use this configuration file to lock down all of the iPad features and only allow what they want the employee's to use.(no downloading apps...)

I originally thought that someone ome how was able to access the information on my iPad and stall these profiles without me knowing. Kind of like a virus thingie.
