Hi there,
I'm trying to find a way to prevent downloading of dodgy browsers from the App store.

You know, you can buy the best browsers, with the best parental controls, but if your kids can just download another browser and then get rid of it....then it's totally useless!
There must be a way surely!

Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

There is a setting on the iPad called Restrictions which will restrict access to certain apps and restricts apps being downloaded or deleted. Go to Settings - General - Restrictions, it will ask for a 4 digit code, please remember this code as you will need it to change any restrictions you set. When you restrict an app the icon will disappear, you can always lift the restriction though and the app will reappear. Have a look, I think it just may come in handy for you.

Glad it has helped you both, it's a very good setting when allowing others to use your iPad.

Hi,
You can restrict that from settings- general-restriction-installing app/ deleting app.
There is also an advanced solution, to lock the settings, but the ipad need jailbreak.
Have a great day
