What's new

On the road and off it too.

Since we are celebrating our new forum software, which is MUCH more generous with its attachment allowance, I thought I'd show a few more photographs.

The previous two were tonight's sunset, which was particularly brilliant.

Testing for maximum possible file size. This one is 2MB. Anything larger and the software can't handle it.

If memory serves, the old software choked at 1MB, so this is an improvement. Those using the iPF app may have not realized the limitation, since the app had a tendency to resize images before sending them.

Nordegg is a German word. I saw something like "Historic Nordegg" on one of your photos. Do you know why?

Nordegg is an old mining town. Many places in Alberta are named by their original settlers. Many of these people came from Germany, and Nordegg was named by and after its founder Martin Nordegg, who staked mining claims in the area and persuaded the Canadian Northern Railway (which became CN) to service the town.

Thank you!

Something else I keep asking myself: while driving, do you notice, or is there time to enjoy the beautiful sights around/ahead of you?
