I have beaten the game and wow. The ending was TERRIBLE. The main quest line only lasted a little while before I finished the game and it had absolutely no ending what so ever. Actually, all quest lines were very short. I agree with what you say about the colors. Skyrim just seems so... Bland. It's missing the bright, cheerful, happy colors of oblivion. But the combat in Skyrim was better I'd have to say (not including the annoying cutscenes that suddenly appear when you're about to deliver your last blow). Skyrim WAS missing an arena though. I know most people wouldn't agree, but I think oblivion had better voice acting. I know they only had like, 7 voice actors in total, but it made the game so much funnier. Then comes the quests. I know that oblivion lacks a lot of quests. At least it didn't have too many quests like Skyrim, where you had 300 quests to do at the same time. I actually liked being relieved of quests and being able to explore the world for a little while. I also wish that they'd just use the oblivion soundtracks for Skyrim, since they sounded so much better. There's so much I like and dislike about skyrim, I can't choose if it's a good game or not. :/
Then comes the down fall of TES. The elder scrolls online AKA World of Warcraft remake number 308874. Elder scrolls is ment to be played alone. Not with other players! It shouldn't be made an MMO. It's all up to Bethesda to see what a big mistake they're making and take it down. I wouldn't mind if they made fallout online. But TES? They're heading for disaster.
I get bored from oblivion sometimes, but then I just keep coming back.

I haven't played skyrim in months. I got past the 'good' dragon but then I was traveling somewhere(I rarely use fast travel) and I came across a dragon. I have fought him more than ten times, and killed him at least 6 times. But I keep forgetting to save and die shortly after.
I never could get past the water temple in majoras mask. Then my little sister dumped water all over my N64. So I never beat that game. I've seen fable, but never played it. It's hard for me to sit down a play a video game. I'd much rather read a book or go play disc golf. Being raised in the technology era I am surprising not obsessed with it. My iPod is about the only thing I obsess over and that is only because of texting and dragonvale. I don't even have a phone.

Tbh, I thought the water temple in majora's mask was far more challenging than the one in ocarina of time. I needed a walk through to get past the whole thing. @_@ Then came that sand temple place. Ugh! That was the worst! Sucks how your sister dumped water all over your N 64. Reminds me of that one time when I was only four years old and I wrecked my sister's Pokemon episode tape.
I don't play video games very often either. I only play when I'm around the house. I'd much rather be with my friends and enjoy the sun.
I understand why you're obsessed over dragonvale and your iPod.
