Office2 HD - Add desktop as Service?

I bought Office2 HD to edit and access my docs from Google Docs. However before I go through the hassle of uploading my files to Google Docs, I wondered if I could map my desktop as an "Add Service" or as a drive to the ipad? If so, what do I use for a username and password? Our home network is password protected but I have no idea what I would use as a username???
