Sweet P, They are nice people aren't they! I'm ploughing my way through your user manual to see if that helps as well.
BTW this old crock is actually one of the few players of an instrument that evolved close to your neck of the woods, ie; the lap dulcimer.

Right, understood - operating system dictates all. I'll have a look at the ipad apps in detail and try and find something that I can work with and hopefully interface with my bluegrass, Irish and English folk buddies here in the cotswolds. (our version of the appalachians).
