Hi there:

I'm trying to load videos onto my 3rd gen iPad as samples of how my app will look. I need to load up videos at the native resolution of 1536/2048 and larger. "Videos" doesn't allow me to view movies this large. When I try to load them in via iTunes, I'm informed they won't play on the iPad. I've tried loading via dropbox to no avail. The videos show up in my list, but simply won't play or allow me to save them. I've tried emailing as well, but it seems once the videos get that large, it doesn't allow me to save them. Interestingly, I noticed that somewhere along the line two smaller movies got saved to my iPhoto. I have no idea how, but I assume it was through email when I selected to save the videos.

Any ideas how I can view movies this size on the iPad? 1080p won't cut it. I need to see the full resolution for this development.

Thanks!

I imagine it's because there incompatible due to the size ratio.

Have you tried to play them in an app such as av player HD?

Your best bet is to convert them into a format that the iPad will be able to natively play, use a pc converter such as handbrake.
