He blames the iPad, but he owns one. He (apparently) was on the House Floor recently promoting them, but he blames them. He does not blame the retail stores for closing and putting everything online, but he blames iPad.

As for the job loss, it always seems to happen when new technology arrives. Like the seamstress that lost a job because of Mr. Singer's invention; forgetting the jobs that were created because those job killing sewing machines need to be manufactured, sold, and repaired. Or the thousands of programmers developing apps for the iPad able to make a few dollars, or accessory makers and sellers.
As I recall, some time ago he gave some talk or speech about about green this and that. Bob thinks the green people would love us to stop killing trees or using those ever so horrible automobiles to go to the store for this and that.
Thanks iPad, you are saving the world from environmental and ecological disaster.
Seems to me that the idea of going paperless has been a long time goal for many decades and the idea that newspapers wanted to abolish printing was a long term goal of many media giants. Long before the iPad arrived.
He also forgets that one could shop online before the iPad arrived.
Mr. Jackson is a nobody and I think we would be amazed at some of the things that are said on the House Floor that are immediately dismissible.
I blame the iPad for simplifying one part of my life and adding five hundred dollar bills to Apple's coffers.
