Except that without your iPhone nearby the Watch won't make phone calls, or anything that requires connecting to the internet.

That might change someday, but for now you still need your phone.

I was hoping to edit my typos. Oh well.

I keep my iPhone in my purse. It's brand new and I live in fear of dropping it.

I don't know how to draw purses. Once my Apple Watch arrives, unless I forget and leave it at home, I hopefully won't be taking my iPhone out of my purse very much if at all.

That's why I pay the extra for AppleCare. Even if I never use it, the reduction of stress is worth every penny. It makes a potential catastrophe into a mere major inconvenience.
