iTunes error code?

After struggling to update and syncing and finally got it done, now when I check for update iTunes says it cannot check for update because of unknown error "1631". How can I fix this? Thanks

What version OS are you running now? Have you tried without the sim installed?

It's saying 4.2.1 and no on the sim card.
